When I am asked what inspires me, I often think back to my childhood. My parents instilled in me an appreciation for history, art, antiques, and travel.
I believe inspiration is drawn from the people you meet, the places you visit, photographs, and books… lots and lots of books! Nature is a great source of inspiration, and has provided an endless array of colors and textures to draw from – like the bird feathers and broken robin’s eggs my daughter continuously collects and deposits on my kitchen counter, or the modest stack of deer antlers my husband is so proud of – these will always find a way onto a shelf or tablescape in my home. You too can find inspiration just by looking around your own home and backyard; chances are you have an undiscovered treasure that is just begging to be brought out and shown off.
I hope that Boxwoods is another source of inspiration to help you create a comfortable, casual home that reflects your style and personality. It’s the art you hang on your walls, and the objects you place in a room that tell the story about who you are.
