We have a new home!
It was a fast and furious move two days before Christmas Eve, but we had to get in before all of our littles whooshed in to take over the halls of Beacon Hill.
We quickly got a few pieces of furniture in place, my husband had six beds put together in record time, and I managed to find the Christmas tree with a few ornaments to throw on. Our granddaughter Emeline made sure Santa had our new address and Christmas came without a hitch.
After almost five years of planning and working on this home, we are so happy to be here. The minute we moved in, it instantly felt like the cozy cottage we were after.
Creamy white cabinets, wainscoting, built-ins and wood floors throughout, thanks to our talented team of carpenters from Broadway Builders and M/R Construction, Beacon Hill is Vernacular Architecture at its finest.
The house is not done yet, there is still some painting and projects to finish before the artwork is hung and the drapes go up. That will be the fun part, picking fabrics and searching for the perfect side table, light fixture and artwork for the walls. 2019 will be filled with new ideas and decorating dreams come true!
I already have my eye on a few things at Boxwoods, of course.
Stay tuned as I share my favorite part of the house so far, the butler’s pantry.
Happy New Year, and I hope this year Boxwoods can help make your decorating dreams come true. - Karon
